With support from Girls’ Club and from Available Space, design sublime is pleased to present more than fifty works by as many artists invited by Michelle Weinberg. While working on the Girls’ Club exhibition Women Painting, currently on view at Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus Gallery, and comprised of fifty works from the collection of Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz, Girls’ Club Creative Director and artist Michelle Weinberg realized that she could personally round up at least fifty more amazing female painters. The exhibition More Women Painting is the result. Drawing from a roster of artists predominantly from New York and Miami, Weinberg added others from the Midwest, New boundaries that conventionally define painting as pictorial marks on a support. Emerging artists are represented, as are artists who have mature careers and achievements. The only condition imposed is that the works not exceed 36 inches in any dimension. In a season that has seen the combined power of female assemblies, More Women Painting is a comprehensive look at the vitality of painting made by women today.
