We welcome you to the opening of the exhibition Elämän vesi / Lífsins vatn / Water of Life on the 25th of January at 5pm. The exhibition presents works of five contemporary Finnish artists. They are Petteri Cederberg, Vesa-Pekka Rannikko, Hermanni Saarinen, Kristiina Uusitalo and Ilona Valkonen. The name of the exhibition, Water of Life (Aqua vitae), can refer to different things: e.g. the Book of Revelation, the fairytale of Brothers Grimm, distilled spirit and the Fountain of Youth. It can be mystical and spiritual, or very matter of fact and mundane. The choice of approach is yours.

During the opening of the exhibition the performance VIENO MOTORS: LIQUID KIT by Ilona Valkonen will be carried out where the audience can create an intimate connection with the flowers.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Kling & Bang and the non-profit artist-run co-operative society Forumbox in Helsinki.

In conjunction with the exhibition, The Nordic House will open the exhibition LAND BEYOND THE SEA by the same curator, Juha-Heikki Tihinen. The exhibition will open on the day before ours, Friday the 24th at 5 pm. Artists in the exhibition are Erik Creutziger, Marjo Levlin, Carl Sebastian Lindberg, Susanna Majuri and Pauliina Turakka Purhonen. The exhibition is produced by the Pro Artibus Foundation.
